Mr. and Mrs. Howard White returned last week after spending two weeks with the Scarrow family in Kirkland, a suburb of Montreal.Mr. and Mrs. Eric Freeman were visited by friends from Orillia, Ont., Mr. and Mrs. Irwine Cowie on the weekend.Mrs. Jessie Hill has a new great granddaughter, Penny Anne whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. W. Carter of Brandon. Mrs. Carter was the former Tanis Kerr of Goodlands.Peter and Rosetta McKinnon marked their 48th wedding anniversary at the home of their son in Rivers on Sat., Oct. 14. The McKinnons have resided here for five and a half years, coming from Brandon. Present at the anniversary event were all members of their family of three sons and two daughters: Mr. and Mrs. .DerryMcKinnon, Winnipeg;Mr. and Mrs. Lome McKinnon and family, Arden; Mr. and Mrs. Jim (Evelyn) McKenzie and family, Brandon;Mr. and Mrs. Harold (Joan) Madill, Brandon; and hosts Mr. and Mrs. Keith McKinnon and family, Rivers. Friends and family presented the couple with a gift and bouquet of red and white, carnations.
