The family located near Mineola where he grew to young manhood. On October 22, 1891, he and Rosa L, Saar were married. The ceremony took place in the farm home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Saar in Pottawattamie county. The wedding was 1 attended by over 150 guests and there were six who were in at-1 tendance at the wedding that day 1 who were present to celebrate the1 50th anniversary of the bride and groom, These were Mrs, John Hopp, who was a bridesmaid, Mrs. Henrietta Jens, Mrs, Minnie Dent, Albert Schoening, Gus Saar andJohn Saar.Mrs. Hopp, when questioned concerning her memories of theday, related that it was a brightwarm fall day and a lovely evening with a big charivari at Mineola. When questioned concerning this portion of the wedding day, Mr, Hopp only dismissed itwith one of his good-natured chuckles, but that it has remained as one of their pleasant memories for half a century is indicated by the fact that another big free dance was arranged as a climax to the golden wedding celebration and this, too, was held at the hall in Mineola with the Jay Kay orchestra of Omaha furnishing the music. Several hundred persons were in attendance and merriment reigned supreme, and just as on the occasion of 50 years ago, the bridal couple led all of the dancers on the floor.ber 10, in the Community building in Malvern. Pete Kuhl's orchestra will furnish the music. Tickets for the dance are available from 4-H clubv band members.contact the changes in th( conservation la sought.Committees 1 ed from eachtrict.
