LETTER TO THE EDITORChicago, III., Oct. 22, ’05.Editor Daily Student I was present at the Indiana-Chicago game one week ■ ago, and I also wit-nessed the contest between Purdue and Illinois yesterday. The contest next Saturday at Indianapolis is certainly going to be one of the most memorable ever played between the two rivals. It was astounding to see the way Sheldon’s men held the much heavier Ma-roons. Sheldon has a very dangerous aggregation. It was equally impressive to see the way Purdue plowed through Illinois. Ode of the big features of the game was the rooting done by the delegation from Lafayette. They have the spirit and are organized perfectly. But their lungs are not any more powerful than those of any ordinary Hoosier. Indiana can yell just as loud and just as effectively if they organize properly and get into practice. A victory for Indiana this year means a great deal. I hope the rooters will do their part in bringing about that victory.Very truly,AN ALUMNUS.
