On October 7th., 1875, fifty years ago, at Princeton, Bureau county, the Illinois, Miss Alma Long and Joseph orF. Gissibl were united in marriage gin by the Rev. J. W. Ellis. Five years erelater, they “came west,” locating on ply a 200-acre farm in Lincoln town- jec ship, at that time owned by the late t ancW. T. Smither. Everything in those dult; days, was comparatively “new ” es- , notmuhoi!pecially to “Joe” and Mrs. Giss.bl, and they can be properly listed as being among the pioneers of north- I R»c eastern Cass county, and are still occupying the farm on which they landed, February 2:.J, 1880, nearly forty-five years ago.Their 200-acre farm, one of thebest in all Iowa, has been developed j enl and improved and is one of the beautiful, modern farm homes in Cass county. \This union has been blessed with in,icei wh cesofgrlt;eight children, all of whom are residents of this vicinity, as follows: Chas. Gissibl, Mrs. Nancy Willison, wife of Bert Willison; Ira Gissibl; Mrs. Alta Scholl, wife of Fred Scholl; Floyd Gissibl; Pearl Kuehn,discoiananmsthlt;thlt;wife of Fred L.
