DElliott, well known local negro, as aresult of his experiment with potatoes in a small patch in Decatur. Ninebushels of potatoes were grown on a plot between the sidewalk and the curb on one of his lots, indicating theprofit which might be made by Morgan County farmers, if greater acreage was devoted to the growing ofyams.
