They are both in their usual good health and they enjoyed a fine dinner at their^home, with his brother, Milton, of Simms, 111., as the special guest of honor. He is here for a short stay with Mr. and Mrs.Green.Mr. and Mrs. Green are widely• tknown in the county and all their friends will join the Democrat in heartiest felicitations. Mr. Greeniwas born in Addison township, Shel-: by county, May 20, 1836, and hisdife has been most active and useful* He was most successful as a farmer and was also an ardent democrat, hav-) ing held the offices of justice of the peace and township trustee. He always took great interest in education and was for ten years a school director. Mr. and Mrs. Green sinceILddr.their marriage have lived successive-' ly in Washington, Liberty, Noble and Shelby townships. Mrs. Green was Mary Ann Clark and their marriage took place'October 15, 1857. They retired from active work in1897 to enjoy their remaining years 1in rest so richly earned.
