HIS NECK WHS BROKEN BY A FALL INTO A DITCHDaniel Frederick Beyerle, a Well Known Farmer, Dies Suddenly.Daniel Frederick Beyerle fell into a ditch on the Goshen road about five miles northwest of the city late Monday afternoon and broke his neck, causing instant death. He was found by Arthur Huhler a short i.lme after his fall, with Ills head submerged in about half a foot of water ami mud, but life was extinct.Mr. Beyerle left his homo in Washington township about 0 o’clock Monday morning with a load of produce which be disposed of in the city and was next seen or. the road northwest of the city about. 2 o'clock. Hiiblor was unloading gravel on the road and Beyerle drove around his team and stopped a short distance away. After he hnrl finlched unloading his w'agon Hubler looked up and saw that the Beyerle team had gone about t.wenty-fli*e feet-up the road from a point where it had stopped and he could not see the driver and an investigationdeveloped that he had met his death. The ditch is about four feet deep and runs along a portion of the road that passes through what Is known as Blessing’s bottoms.Coroner Stults was called and he found no evidence of any struggle and the presumption is that Mr. Beyerle alighted and fell backward and that death was instantaneous as he evidently mjde no effort to rise. The hody was conveyed to the undertaking establishment of Klaehn Melch-ing to be prepared for burial. Funeral Thursday morning at 0:BO o’clock from the residence and at 11 o’clock from Eel River Baptist church.Native of Germany.Mr. Beyerle was a well known farmer and a native of Reitersburg, OberantwaibliDger, Germany* and was 6,5 years old. The greater part of his life had been spent In Allen county and he was highly regarded in the community.His surviving fAmily consists of the widow and eleven children who are: Mrs. Leonard Stalf. Mrs. Charles Hip-penhammer. Mrs. Benjamin Sunder' land, Mrs. John WhiJker, Misses Caroline and Martha Beyerle, Louis, William, David, Henry Beyerle, of this county, and Charles Beyerle, of Carina, Cal. Ho was a member of tho Church of the Evangelical association.
