Echoes Of The PastTwenty-Five Years Ago(Tuesday, Oct- 20, 1931)Robbers last night ransacked the general store oi Frank Sroda and Sons, on the main street of Amherst Junction, and made away with goods valued at $1,000.The Spot Restaurant at 414 Main St,owned by Andrew Klug for 14 years, has been sold to Misses Grace and Anna Bortz, 821 Normal Ave.Sixty-six years of married life, all spent within Portage County, have 'been completed by Mr. and Mrs. Schuyler Whittaker of Liberty Comers, Town of Buena Vista. Mr. Whittaker is one of the county's few remaining Civil War veterans. '
