Winger, pioneer oil well driller and one of the beat known of old timer* in the oil country, died at f* o'clock yesterday morning at hi* home In Grand Valley where he had resided for the pant thirty year*. Mr. Winger had been ill flt;»r one year buthis condition only recently became serious. Deceased was a native ofBlack Furnace, (Marion county, Pa., and was 71 years old. lie became interested in the oil business immediately upon the completion of the Drakewell, engaging’ first in boating oi! andlater becoming a driller. The lattervocation he had followed during his entire* life since until advancing \**«trsforced him to relinquish activity. Surviving are one daughter, one son, one granddaughter, two brothers. W. W.Winger of Warren and Dr. F. W.Winger of Bradford, and **ne sister,Mrs. THlle Dewey of Bradford. Deceased was a member of the Methoc ist church and of the Odd felloas. Funeral arrangements have not beencompleted.
