Kicking o» Ditch TaxWhen the County Board meets on Nov. 1 (one week from next Wednesday) to take up the matter of the new Keg Creek ditch there is liable to be a whole lot nf vigorous kicking: clone by a number of property owners over what they consider an inequality In the special tax levy.; Several large owners of land inside the city limits and on high ground where the ditch will be only of indirect benefit feel that they are taxed out of proportion to those receiving a much greater benefit. Two of these are If. M. Buffington and Ab. Tuck. Their lands are taxed at the rate of $4.50 an acre. This would make their tax several hundred dollars each. The highest rate assessed the land adjoining the Creek and subject to overflow is the $9.00 per acre and $9.00 per lot for platted ground.
