Hose was taken to the Hitth School building Monti ay from the , II, I* dcjiot after shipmentfrom Boston.The statue is nearly etaht fee t inheight, this including the miniature figure tif tin* sphinx which forms the apt \ of tin* Helmet of the Goddess o|Wi dom. tilThe entire statue typifies Homan.Iiindti and Kgyptian mythological conceptions expressive of wisdom, j Minerva represents the Homan, the serpent at tin* rear of the base and side of Minerva the Hindu and the helmet apex figure of the sphinx, theEgyptian mythology.It is Intended to place the statue onthe platform at the west side of the Utah School assembly room, tin* plt; d estal to he of a height about equal to the window sills from the platform.In tho rear of the figure, to bring out its outlines and give it better ills-tinetivemss because of the statues shade, it being: of a peculiar whiteness, a heavy brown curtain of cord uroy will he placed. The pole for this drapery is now in position.It is hoped to have the figure pedestaled before Saturday on which clay Ithe Southwestern Ohio Teachers’ Association convenes lure.
