Citywide ProgramObtain Wood for AilNeedy Gets Under WayThe city-wide program of all thechurches to assist the needy in obtaining wood for the winter has taken definite form. The unemployed are given the opportunity to cut their own wood to provide sufficient fuel for themselves before the advent of cold weather.Father Duggan, director of Catholic Charities, announced that the plans of the Catholic churches for the cutting of wood have been completed. Ho was born Dec. 4, 1853, and lias lived in. this county ever since, following the occupation of farming the greate? part of his life.His wife, who was Miss Mary Ellen Waldron, was bor” in Morrison, 111., Aug. 25, 1858 and like her husband she spent almost her entire life in this vicinity. On Oct, 15, 1878, they weer married at St. Mary’s Catholic church at Lycurgus by the Rev,J. Slattery.Ten children were born to thisunion who are as follows: Charles, Jr., Daniel, Mrs. Frank Baxter, Mrs. Edward Ryan Mrs. Angella Rikos, ail of this vicinity; Peter, Mrs. James Devore and Mrs. Edward Keating, all of Chicago; Con of Alma, Wis., and Sister Mary Cornelius of Danbury,la. There are 35 grandchildren anil three great grandchildren.Mrs. Keating and son, Chicago, Rev.
