Members attend AAUW Legislative DayLeslie Brunsell, Judy Jaggard, Judi Kneece, Carolyn Krebs, Dawn Olson and Lyn Stubbendick of the Janesville Branch of the American Association of University Women-Wisconsin attended Legislative Day in Madison.They joined more than 100 active AAUW members in sessions focusing on current issues women and girls face today. *Keynote speaker Jennifer Dreyfus, field associate for AAUW’s Program and Policy Department in Washington, D.C., addressed issues now before Congress and outlined AAUW’s new Voter Education Cam-paign. ' ; '■■■ 'Education was the major focus of the breakout sessions. Facilitators presented status reports and action plans on gender equity in vocational education. Gov. Tommy Thompson’s perspective on educational reform, Milwaukee Parental Choice and civil liberty issues related to education.The AAUW-Wisconsin has more than 2,800 members in 46 branches.
