(COSMOS photo by Dave Poorvn.)Siglympics succeedCapturing the traveling and permanent trophies, the Alpha Omieron PI sorority won the Siglympics contest beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning, October 11*REPRESENTATIVES from four social sororities on campus, the Afro-American Self-Education Organization (AAS-EO), and the nursing education students from St. Luke’s Hospital competed in the annual mock Olympic games sponsored by the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity. Events included the rolling pin throw, the egg toss, the three-legged race, the football kick, the balloon relay, the sack race, and the tug-of-war.All six groups, plus the Freshman and Independent women named Siglympics queen candidates. Sue Aanes, this year's queen, was crowned Friday night at an all-school dance in the Women's Fieldhouse. She represented the St. Luke's Nurses.
