Mr., Mrs. Shanks, Former Residents, Wed 50 YearsMr. and Mrs. Spaulding I. Shanks, formerly of 1604 Thorn. Chicago Heights, who left here 25 years ago to make their home in Hollywood, Calif., will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on October 21.Mr. Shanks, employed at Columbia studio for 25 years, and Mrs. Shanks, have seven c h i 1-dren, 22 grandchildren and one great grandchild.The children will entertain their parents at a private dinner party on Tuesday. The Shanks, youngest son, the Rev. John B. Shanks, S. J., is now in Europe and when he returns to California in December, he will celebrate a solemn high mass. A reception for the friends of the family will be held following the mass at that time.
