Daniels advised today that the “color look in thp water can. be attributed to the use of Sand! Wash Brook and Farnham s reservoirs which have been put into service because of the low watci supply.Water from Sand Wash, which hasn't been drawn upon for several years, Daniels said, has al-| ways had a yellowish color probably because the reservoir was laid! #■out in swampy land. However, he added, the color shouldn't detei householders from using it because it meets all health standards.Daniels also advised that because of the low water supply, he has had to fill the city s million-gallon standpipe tank near the City Infirmary on outer West Street, the' first time it has been pressed into; service in five years.
