Mi*, and Mrs. R. C. Hopp will hold open house at their homo in Gienwoodj from 2 to 5 p. m., Oct. 22, in honor of their golden wedding anniversary.Mr. Hopp was born in Germany in 1870 and came to America with his parents in 1878. ’ lie was united in marriage to Rosa L. Saar on October 22, 1891^ Mrs. Hopp was born in i870 in Pot-i tawattamie county. Ten children were born to them, five boys and five girls, all living and all mar-.ried. They have eighteen grandchildren and . two great grandchildren.They lived in a farm forty-six years, two miles, ahd a half east of Glenwood, and ate now living In Glenwodd.'Mi*. Hopp was awarded a Master Parmer degree in' 1930 and In 1932 was elected state repre-sentative and served in the Forty-fifith General Assembly and the Forty-fifth extra. Also in 1932he was elected president of the Glenwood State Bank, which position he still holds.Mr. and Mrs. Hopp will welcome all who call during the hours of open house.
