Lcssley, ol David Cily, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Tuesday. Their children, Homer Lesslcy. Los Angeles; Dillard Lessley, NewHartford, Conn.; Mrs. Delia Farmer, Brighton, Colo., and Mrs. C. II. McAdams, Lincoln, were present. They have six grandchildren and one great grandchild.Members of the Christian church, of which Mr. Lcssley is pastor, honored them with a dinner at the church. Their son, the Rev, Dillard Lcsslcy, lead the marriage lines. Following a family dinner in the evening, they were at home to their friends.Miss Julia M. Castor and W. C. LOortey woic married in Franklin couniy. Ark., arid lived there for three years. They then went to Texas for seven years, and Mr Lcsslcy began his ministry theie He has 'held pastorates in Oklahoma, Kansas, Havelock, Broken Bow, Litchfield, Lillian and Gates, and David City, Neb. He has beenin the last pastorale three years.•* * *Mr. and Mrs. James A. Deinilt celebrated their fifty-seventh wedding anniversary October 2 at their home m Nelson. Their sixchildren. Charles S, Mrs. Henry Mcycr, Mrs. August Mcycr. Mrs. Dick Bargcn. Mrs. Lehnd Williams and Mrs. Walter McCutchan, all leside near Nelson. They have 19 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. One guest who attended the marriage and the fiftieth anniversary was Mrs. Ed Sykes, of Ruskin, sister of Mr. Demilt.Mrs. Dcmilt, formerly Miss Nancy Elizabeth Whitclcy. was bom August 4, 1863, at Albany, Mo. Mr. Demill, born in Albany June 28. 1861, and Miss WhilcJcy were married there. Three ycais latfcr they removed from that vicinity to a farm near Wilber, Neb. In 1890, they went to a faun south of Nelson and resided there until 1912. Since that time Nelson has been their home.* * *Mr.-and Mrs. Thomas Shinn, of DuBois, were honored at dinner October L at the Z. C. B. J. hall,on their golden wedding anniversary. One hundred and ^ight friends and relatives were present. Their four living children are Mrs. John Musil, DuBois; John Shinn, Humboldt; Mrs. Fred Rexroth, Dawson: and Milton Shinn, Pawnee City. They have seven grandchild] er*.Miss Mary Wokoun was born five miles southwest of Humboldt July 12, 18GG. and has continued lo live within six miles ol her birthplace. Mr. Shinn was born in Kukhk on the Moravian boundary, December 24, 18S7, and came to Nebraska in 1874. When Mr. and Mrs Shinn were first married, they went to their farm north of DuBois and for the last hall century have continued to live there.
