Tests tie gun to two shootingsGRKKN BAY (AP) — Ballistics tests have confirmed that a weapon used in a shootout with police last summer was also used in the killing of the manager of the Bellevue branch of the Denmark State Bank, Brown County Sheriff Leon Pieschek said.The sheriff said State Crime Laboratory tests showed the handgun - taken from Ronald Cartier, following an exchange of gunfire with authorities July 20 outside his town of De Pere home, was used in a bank robbery the week before.Robert DeBroux was shot six times during that robbery, and his body was found inside the bank’s vault. Cartier died of a gunshot wound several hours after the shootout in which two police officers were also wounded.
