Rigby of Hooper, who celebrated his 80th birthday anniversary Tuesday,Born in Hooper, Oct. 12, 1874, a son of John S. and Grace Liptrnt Rigby, the oldster said he has watched with interest the many changes which have taken place during his lifetime.Ho has lived on the same farm house where he now resides, on Nov. 18, 1896, after his marriage to Catherine Lowe in theLogan Temple. They were par ents of six children, all of whom survive.Mrs. Rigby died two years ago in December.Mr. Rigby has been a farmer all of his life and says he still enjoys working in his garden anddoing farm chores.A high priest, in the Hooper First Ward, he is a former bishop's counselor, served many years in the Miperintondency oT the Hooper Sunday School and as a Sunday School teat-her for more than 40 years. Bel nap, Hooper, was honored on her 64th hirthdav anniversary last Saturday by a surprise party given by her five sons and their wives. The party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Max Belnap of 3655 Tyler Avp„ Ogden. Besides the honored guest and her husband, others present were: Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Belnap. Mr. and Mrs. Kimball Belnap and their families, and Glen and Parley Belnap, all of Hooper. Bishop Floyd Powers said he would like to get them all topped and hauled if possible, on that day. AH ward members, both male and female, who are able to assist in this harvest are asked to report at the heel, field on Cliff Folkman’s farm by 8 Saturday morning, and all who can, are to bring a beet topping knife with them.
