HOTII WANT THE CHILD. dI 'onti-over^y in Court for. tin* l*o»e- ,j si on of Pretty l.ittlr CJiil. .There was an interesting contro-, jj ■ersy on before Judge Elliott this ^ morning between Mrs. Elizabeth p )iekey and Mrs. John Frazee ‘over ,j lie matter of the guardianship of ;i •wo-v'ear-old Bessie Dickey. Mrs. t, Dickey is the step-mother of the |, child and had charge of it during the u Ifetime of her husband. Charles t. [Dickey, who died a few months ago. f, Mrs. Frazee is the child's aunt. Both ... women want the child. Neither has w tnything against the other save that hey can’t agree which shall have 0 the care and keeping of flu* little ,• one. It was eontested by Mrs. Fra- fl zee that she is entitled to the child because she is related by ties of j blood to it. Mrs. Dickey insists that she has as much affection for the child as she would have if it were her own blood and says she is better able to care for it because she is a| stronger woman than Mrs. Frazee. Judge Elliott was somewhat puzzled as to his duty and took the case I under advisement until Mondaymorning.
