W. T. McMullen and Rev.#YV. Mahon addressed the meeting and refered to the character of the family in general, and drew lessons therefrom for the benefit of the vOumrnr members. Col. Win. Roudehush was then called upon and favored us with quite a speech, in which ho spoke ofthe condition of the county and people, generally when lie first knew it.At the close of his speech, the Colcalled Mr. E Marsh, of North Vernon,to the front, and presented him witha most beautiful cake which hadbeen prepared for the occasion byMiss Ollie Patterson of Boston. Thenthe company joined in singing that good old hymn:“Blest bo the tie that Wmla*” •Rev. McMullen offered andafter the doxology. Rev. Mahon dis missed with the benediction.Thus ended ended the first reunion of one of the oldest and most respected families of the county.
