Church, located at 508 West Fourth Street, is making a drive to balance the church budget before the minister reports to the annual conference in Austin on November 16.The church has built a parsonage during the past year at a cost of $2,417, built a social center for $398, and repaired the church at a cost of $178.A total of $7f0 is now needed to balance the budget, the items unpaid including: contribution to Paul Quinn College at Waco, $100; general claims, $300; mortgage notes for October and November. $80; and pastor s salary, October and November, $280.The pledges made total $380 ant ] an additional $419 must be raised, the Rev. F. L. Holloway, pastor, stated.The Board of Stewards of the church includes: Earnest Wilson, president; B. A. Vanhoose, secretary; Elijah Tanksley. C. M. Clark, and Esau Davis, (substitute).(lt;i]
