S. ion. “AThe officers met this morning in Fullerton to plan means of distributing information to the outlying communities, and to try to assist in arranging community meetings at each place, with the assistance of the appointee in each community, to elect a director and alternate.The Red Cross drive for funds will open November 11.In connection with the workaccomplished in northern Orangecounty by the Red Cross last year, it is a matter of record that IS,401 barrels of flour, or 1,800,000 pounds of flour were given out during the short session of distribution, in addition, the committee gave out 26,505 yards of cloth, made and gave out, withassistance of many organizations in making, 921 % dozen, or 10,050 garments; gave away 183 dozen or 2196 sweaters, .and 450 blankets and comforts. Mrs. O. B. Evans, in charge of distribution, said that she checked out, and back again, on goods and garments, and found no unfair play, or shortage.That this work could be duplicated, or even enlarged, is the opinion of Mrs. Evans and all assistants in the work, as they compare the situation last year with this year at this time.rs.
