The brigade was left at the ford to guard the ordinance, medical commissary and quarter master's stores parked at that point.The 30th Ga. regiment was ordered up the creek in the direction of Alexander’s bridge to act as pickets. The regiment was deployed with right resting on the creek. About ten o'clock a. m. the regiment was ordered to rejoin the brigade with all possible dispatch (company H. Capt., Hitch commanding, had been sent in advance of the regiment as videttes a.id in the hurry to return did not unite with the regiment but fell in with Ector's brigade, later and went into the fight.)On rejoining the brigade, it was lormed with 25th Ga. regiment on right, then 29ih Ga. regiment then oOth Ga regiment with 4th Ga. battallion on the left. The brigade marched rapidly right flank for about five eighths of a mile, formed forward into line in a run and went immediately into battle.
