Hoidahl celebrated his 90th birthday Oct. 5 with his family at the home he built 50 years ago at 510 Franklin St. here.Mr. and Mrs. Hoidahl attended Our Saviour's Lutheran Church as usual on Sunday, had dinner with 19 relatives at their home, and several friends visited during the afternoon and evening.Hoidahi's brother, Erling, and other relatives from Norway, sent, through the International Florist Association, three bouquets of flowers, one each ofwhite baby pom-poms, pink andpostmaster for a year and a half, lie also managed the company’s store in Sterling until 1892 when he came to Stanley as bookkeeper.In 1910 he became cashier of! the concern and was a stockholder and director of the Citizens State Bank. He was a member of the first Moon Memorial Library Board; president of the| Board of Education for 17 years, during which time the high school and Lincoln School were built. He is the only living charter member of Our Saviour s Lutheran church, was very active in all phases of church; lavender chrysanthemums. Mrs Hoidahl died June 17, 1905 and on Aug. 11, 1906 he married Laura Johnson, a nurse from St.Paul. They also raised Berger Hanson of Eau Claire, a nephew since he was three.Home for the birthday celebra-tion were these children: Aagot of Blair, Nebraska, Mrs. Ruth Dennett of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Granurn and three children of Amery, Wis., Theodore and his wife and Harold of Minneapolis and Berger Hanson, his wife and lour children of E^au Claire. The other livingchildren unable to come homewere Dagny lt;Mrs. E. P. Crad-jdock) of Kirkwood, Mo , andj Gudrun of Fredonia, N. Y. TheHoidahi's have seven grandchildren and eight great-grand* j children.
