To the old church with portals low.On that sweet September mom A Stalwart Youth and Maiden fair Crossed its threshold with joyous air. .With loved ones who had gathered there To youth and maid new hopes were• [bom.For beneath the roof, moss grown.A solemn vow he made for life To take her for his Queen—his wife; And she. though shy, mid blushes rife. As solemnly claimed him her own.Mem’ry brings it back again.I see the bridegroom and the bride.A fair maid, and 1. near their side And all the guests, as out all glide.With blessings and a low Amen.You’ve walked through life hand in hand You’ve had your share of jey and tears As you have drifted down the years Mid flower blooms, and frost that sears.
