GOLDEN WEDDING TO BE CELEBRATEDMr. and Mrs. Samuel Lederer Married 50 Years Tomorrow.big reunion of the family.Not a Member Will Be Absent at the Celebration—Mr. Lederer's Inter-esting . Life as a Tanner.Mr, and Mrs, Samuel Lederer” will celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of their weaumg at the home of their son, Max Lederer, no. 23 Schuyler street, to-morrow. Surrounded by their grandchildren and children, the occasion will be one of much pleasure for the happy couple.Mr. and Mrs. Lederer were married in New York vaty on October 12, ldo2, by Rev. Dr. Lilienthal. It is a singular coincidence that fpur couple were married at t*us' wedding, at which Mrs. Lederer, formerly Miss Marie Abel, became the wife of Samuel Lederer. Since then all have died, including the officiating clergyman, ex* cept Mr. and Mrs. Lederer. -There will be BO direct descendants of the family at the reception and dinner to-morrow. These will include the ten children of the celebrants and 24 grandchudren. Two of the prominent guests wii. be Mr. Lustig and Mr. Oestricher, of New York City, who, with Mr. Reiss, an invalid, are the only survivors of the guests at the wedding reception 50 years ago. There has been but one death among the cnildren in the family during the past 40 years.Mr. and Mrs. Lederer had twelve children, luey settled near this city soon after their marriage and later moved to this city. Mr. Lederer is the oldest tanner in this State, having been engaged in tnis business all his life. He located first near Engiish-town, prior to ^is coming here. His • father and grandfather were and five of his six sons are engaged * in thisbusine^fe .....Mr. Lederer was the.,first tanner to make leather for'the heavy artillery harpess used by the United States Government in the Civil War. He continued to fill orders for the government during the war. He also tanned, the first lambskin used in this country for the making of tfce aprons worn by members of the Masonic Lodge during their ceremonies. Material for these aprons prior to that time wasimported to this country.Though fast approaching* the age of four score years, Mr. Lederer is still in good health and enjoying life. He was 78 years old the first day of this month. Mrs. Lederer is in her seven-£ieth~ y.ear ..an.d has ..not .a-gray.-hair., iniier head. She is also enjoying good health.It is expected that there will not be a relative connected with the inilnedi-ate family absent at the reunion and reception to-morrowi The children who will be present are Mrs. Bayer and Mrs. Bardach, of New xorlt City; Mrs, Morris Baumann, of New Haven, Conn.; Miss Louise Lederer, of this city; Samuel M.
