Francis will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house at 2 p.m. today. They were married Sept. 24, 1927, in Charleston with the Rev. C. T. Brookshire officiating. Mrs. Francis is the former NaomiGrey Marshall. The open house will be given by their daughters. Mrs. Warren Shirkey and Mrs. Fred McClure at the lat-tcr’s home. 1100 Emerald Road. They have six grandchildren and’ three great-grandchildren.
