Wall, were today quietly observing their sixty-sixth wedding anniversary.Mr. and Mrs. Wall, whose home is at 304 West Cottonwood, were married October 9, 1892 west of Long Branch. Having spent their entire married life in and around Nocona, the Walls now live only a little more than five miles from where they were married.The Walls spent most of theirBIRTHSSTONE—Vera Faye Stone, 7pounds, 5 ounces, born October 1 to Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Stone of Oscar, Okla.* * *married lives farming until retirement. In addition to farming, Mr. Wall, an ordained Baptist preacher, has also held several pastorates in small churches a-round this area.Although he is now 84 years old. Wall has been spending most of his time this week climbing into his pecan trees to tie flags to scare crows away. Both he and Mrs. Wall, 82. are in fairly good health and each Sunday they attend Dixie Baptist church southof Nocona.The Walls’ children are Abner. Osa. Arvel and Mrs. J. B. S. (Spence) Phillips, prominent 83 year old retired Bonita farmer. Mr. Phillips died at Wichita Falls.Born July 14. 1875, at Spencer Tenn. Mr. Phillips was the son of George W. and Sarah Cowan Phillips. He married Minda Howard December 21. 1898 at Bonita. Mrs. Phillips died January 22. 1958.Mr. Phillips was one of Bonita’s oldest continuous residents. He came to the community in 1892 from Roanoke where the family had settled in 1877 after leaving Tennessee.Surviving are one son, J. M. Phillips of Fort Worth; one sister. Mrs. Pearl Lee of Wichita Falls; one half-sister, Mrs. Josie Howse of Seminole, Okla.; two half-brothers, George of Oklahoma City and Joe Phillips of Holdenville, Okla.; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.Mr. Phillips was a member of the Bonita Methodist church.Rites were held Wednesday afternoon at 4 o’clock at First Methodist church here with Rev. WD. Craig officiating. Interment was in Nocona cemetery under the direction of Scott Bros.Bearers were Duncan Ballinger. W. T. Tompkins, Joe Marshall. J.E. Langford. R. D.
