* * *CELEBRATE SEVENTIETH' ' , . ANNIVERSARY?-’ £/~ i 'An event of more than ordinary interest took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Ilornibrook. 442 Eighth Street, on Friday when they celebrated the seventieth anniversary of their wedding. Although Mr. and Mrs.Hornibrook have reached the ages of ninety-two and ninety respectively, they are remarkably active and vigorous and take a keen interest of theaffaire of the'dlgfcfBoth Mr. and Mrs. Hornibrook were lorn in Eastern Canada, the former near Merrickville and the latter near Brockville. They were married by Rev. Morris, rector of Trinity Church,Merrickville, Oct. 8th, 1850. and in 1851 moved to Western Ontario, sett- (Iling in Perth County, near Mitchell, where they resided for forty years. In 1891 Mr.and Mrs. Hornibrook came West and took up residence in the , city of Brandon where they have liv-1ed since that time.Mr. and Mrs Hornibrook have nine children, tow sons and eeven daughters: namely, Edward, of Brandon; William, of Rocanville. Sask.; Mrs. John Kidd, St. Mary’s, Ont.; Mrs. John Litton, of Wlnton, Ont.; Mrs. Thomas Dunseith of Stratford, Ont.; Mrs. Robert nicliols. of Mitchell. Ont.; Mrs. Ira Argue, of Swift Current, Sask.; 'and Misses Alberta and Ordelia at home. The grandchildren number twenty and the great grandchildren eighteen.Mr. and Mrs. Hornibrook enjoy the conlldence and esteem of a large circle of relatives and friends, many of whom on I-Yiday called to wish them happiness in the evening time of life. Many beautiful flowers were sent Mr. and Mrs. Hornibrook as a flight token of the esteem in whichthey are held. 1 ...1(
