40th Weddta AnniversaryMr. and Mrs. Herman Meisgeier Sr. celebrated the fortieth anniversary of their wedding at their home last Sunday in a manner holyunpremeditated by either of them.nhoiweasIt all came as a cotsurprise prtladselwhprlt;coia r dieto them and hadall been properlyarranged by their children and many friends, and until the whole countryside began to drive into their yard bringing well filled baskets, they had been kept completely in the dark, which was no small trick on tie part of the perpetrators as all who are acquainted with forMr. Meisgeier aind his wife will al- in* low. The invited guests continued mito come until they numbered morethan one hundred, and the reallybig task of the day, of feeding themultitude, was managed and served by several ladies who had thismost important part of the program in charge. Only those who have anbeen priviledged: to partake of one anof the dinners such as the ladies of this particular neighborhood areleatirresmetiobrable tosuwecan have the slight- neallin,anre:teiplimspiutOrest conception of toe manythings with which the tables fairly groaned. Two large tables were provided and wilh the excellent facilities at their command it was well in the afternoon before all present had satisfied the inner man.As a substitute for a more fitting tictribute for their esteem of the host Pr and hostess the gentlemen it the go company with D. B. Allen as spokesman presented them with apurse of $17.
