Students Get* •MentionFor ScoresLetters of Commendation honoring three Logansport High School students on their , high oerformance on the 1968 National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test have been awarded, according to Hugh Leeman, school principal.The three recipients are Thomas Thrall, James Farlow, and Mary Marks.They are among 39,006 students in the country who scored in the upper two per cent on the test.The commended students names are reported to other scholarship granting agencies and to the colleges they named as their first and second choices when they took the examinations.These students advance no further in the Merit Scholarship competition.Miss Marks has recently moved to Lawrence, Kan., and Farlow has moved at Huntington. Thrall is still a student at the local high school.David Carlson, of the local high school, was named as a aexm-Iinalist in the competition.
