WILLIAM PEAKSOX.Wm. Pearson died at his home in Burnettsville, Monday afternoon. Sept. 27, after an extended illness. The funeral was held on Wednesday, the cortege leaving the residence at 12:30 and proceeding to Hopedale where Elder E. C. Wells conducted the services at 2:00 o’clock. Burial was made at Hickory Grove cemetery.Deceased was horn Jan. 2. . iSio. in Adams township, and spent almost his entire life there, lie was the largest land owner in the township and one of its leading citizens. He was married to Hattie Young of Idaville on March 12. 1SS4. She with six children survives him. one child having died in infancv. The children are: Mrs. Harley Shock of near Montieello; John, at ,home; Mrs. Roche Quinn, of Monti- j cello; Mrs. Raymond Coble, Monticel- | lo; and Ralph and Doris at home. jSome six years ago Mr. Pearson suf- | fered a stroke of paralysis from which he never fully recovered. His failing j health was the cause of his leaving his i farm four years ago and moving to Burnettsville. Hollowing his illness -from paralysis he became a victim of , tuberculosis and although he made a i brave struggle against the disease he j was unable to release himself from its ;grasp. ^Mr. Pearson was a Republican inpolitics and at one time was a candidate for Representative from his district.
