Trouble Among the Northwest Indians.St. Paul, September 30.—A special to the Pioneer-Press says: An Indian arrived atFort Ellice in full war paint, with a scalp hanging to his belt, bringing the news of bloody fighting among the Mandrill, Stony and Salteux Indians, north of there. The Mandrills raided the camp of the Salteux and killed nine persons. A band of Salteux, under Ocean Man, gave chase and killed nine of the Mandrills. A band of Stonies Is also following the Mandrills and more fighting is expected.Another account says that the village attacked made a desperate resistence and killed thirteen Mandrills. The whole border Ls in a blaze of excitement The fleeing Mandrills are making their way to American territory, whence they came. It is thought the Stonies and Salteux will pursue them to this side of the line, and it is expected the scene of war will be transferred to the United State-.
