OUR LADY OF LOURDES CHURCH DEDICATIONArchbishop McNichoias To OfficiateSunday, October 16 LadiesTo Serve Dinner.The parish of Our Lady of Lourdes, recently established for the rapidly growing section of the Western Hills district of Cincinnati, between Che viot and Price Hill, will dedicate its new church on Sunday afternoon, Oc tober 16th. His Grace, Most Rev. Archbishop, J. T. McNicholas, will officiate, assisted by the neighboring clergy.Few parishes can boast of the rapid material progress made by the new parish. In less than ten weeks time a handsome frame church, designed by Kuntz and Beck, with a seating capacity of 350, has been erected. A three-room school has also !een built and is now being occupied „ by the children of the congregation, under the direction of the Sisters of Mercy.The faithful have always shown themselves interested in the work of new parishes, realizing that every new church means a new power for good and the glory of God. Many will no doubt take advantage of this occasion of the dedication to encourage the new congregation and show their interest in the good work by being present For the accommodation of the many visitors expected, the la dies of the parish have arranged to serve a chicken dinner from 11 a. m. to 2:30 p. m. The religious services will take place at 3:30 p. m., the Most Rev. Archbishop officiating and Father Grimmelamann of Mt St. Mary Seminary preaching the dedication sermon. After the services the ladies will resume serving dinner.For the entertainment of the friends of the parish, a lawn fete will be conducted on the grounds, while the popular band of St. Joseph Orphanage will furnish the music. The men of the congregation will take care of the parking of automobiles and arrangements will be made to provide a 5-minute bus service from the end of the Westwood and Overlook car lines. The church is located on Bridgetown Ed., just south of Werk Rd., Westwood, and is easily accessible by auto or street cars. The pastor, Rev. Francis A. Biendl, and the committee in charge of the festival hereby extend a hearty welcome to all to attend the dedication, both afternoon and evening.
