f The home of Mr. ami Mrs. Sherman* Furness, of Jackson township, was the scene of a birthday surprise last Sun-’ day, Mrs. Furness having invited a number of relatives and friends, who . gathered with well filled baskets while Sherman was attending church. The* guests and a bountiful dinner were f awaiting him, also some nice and usc-* ful gifts. Those present were Mr. and r Mrs. William Furness, Mr. and Mrs. ' Delbert Adkins and children, Robertand Pauline, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Fur ness and little son, Harold, ail of near Kobtown; Mrs. Hannah Moss, Irene Purcell, Elizabeth Purcell and son, f Eugene, Mr. Leroy and Orville Pur-t cell and Mrs. Bessie Streets of Circle-- ville; Mrs. Bessie Hinton and children Mary, Bernice and Frederick of Darby* ville; Mr. Raymond Streets of Colum-’ bus; Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Furness 1 and children, Russell, Esther and ^ Freda Flo. In the evening all depart-! ed to their homes declaring the day 4 well spent and wishing Sherman many ■ more happy birthday anniversaries.
