Garza also noted that Martin has turned over a earner's check for $201,118 to the city of Laredo, that being the amount owed after a computing error was found.Garza reduced Martin s sentence to 00 days to 9erve in Webb County Jail, with the balance of the four-year term suspended Martin was placed on probation with supervision for four years The 90 days will be served on 30 consesutive weekend with Martin reporting to the jail on Fridays at 5 p m and being released at 8 a m Sundays Martin will begin serv ing the sentence Friday. the day he was to have reported to a Fort Worth federal corrections institution to serve the full sentence In granting the sentence reduction, Garza also noted that Martin's health is reported to be deteriorating, according to the Mar tin family physician. Dr Joaquin G Cigarroa Jr Cigarroa told a federal probation officer that he could treat Martin more beneficially if the former mayor were confined at Laredo The doctor has been granted permission to visit Martin in jail whenever necessary
