Mr. and Mrs. Erwin (Barney) Higdon, 2831 Avenue I. will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary Sunday, Oct. 10. Their children will host open house from 2 until 4 p m. in the Euchre Inn atSt. Paul.Mrs. Higdon is the former Ella Krumpleman. The couple was married by the late Rev. L Holing Oct. 6, 1926, in the Sacred Heart Catholic church. Attendants were Mrs. Henry Niggemeyer and the late Henry Niggemeyer. Mr. Higdon, retired, was employed at the Iowa State Penitentiary.Children of the anniversary couple are David Higdon. Mrs Donald (Doris) Beelman, both of Eort Madison, and Mrs. Terrence(Marilyn) Smith, West Point.There are 10 grandchildren and a great grandchild.
