No. 1 rookie this year, enteredPITTSBURGH (UPI)-Rookie quarterback Terry Bradshaw stili is trying to win his first game for the Pittsburgh Steel-ers.Bradshaw made a valiant effort Saturday night. He con-s nec.ed on 13 of 29 passes for 297 yards, his best performance in three games as a pro football player, and ran for a touchdown.However, the nation’s No. 1 draft choice watched three of his picked off by the Cleveland defenders as the Browns came from behind to win 15 7. It was the third straight loss for the Pittsburgh club.“I was really up for this game,” Bradshaw said. “I would have loved to beat the Browns and I thought we would win.”The Steelers had a 7-2 lead until Mikl Phipps, the Browns’the game. Phipps took over for Don Gault and promptly moved the Browns 91 yards in nine plays to whip out the Steeler's advantage.Phipps hit Reece Morrison with a 53-yard scoring pass to give the Browns a 8-7 lead. Fifty-three seconds later, Erich Barnes picked off a Bradshaw pass and sprinted 38 yards for another Cleveland TD.Bradshaw’s biggest humiliation of the game came in the first period when he was dropped for a safety. It was the third straight game he had been trapped in h s own end zone.‘T changed signals at the last second,” he said, “but I guess the team didn’t hear me.”The Steelers’ Gil Blount took Don Cockroff’s opening kickoff and sprinted 91 yards beforeMike Howell spilled the Pittsburgh speedser on the Browns*four-yard line. The Browns’ defense, with the help of two offensive penalties, drove the Steelers back to the 14-yard line and Gene Mingo missed a iield goal from the 22.The Browns failed to make a first down the first three times they had the ball, but Coek-roff’s third punt of the night put the ball on the Steelers’ three yard line. Two plays later, defensive end Ron Snidow dropped Bradshaw for the safety. It gave Cleveland a 2-0 lead with 3:26 left in the first quarter.After the Steelers kicked off from their 20, John Rowser picked off a Gault pass on the Steelers’ 42 and nine plays later Bradshaw scampered for a 22-yard touchdown, giving Pittsburgh a 7-2 lead.The Browns are now 2-1 for the season. *
