MBS, ANNA ZIN6G DIED LAST THURSDAYFuneral Was Held Monday P. M. From The M. E. ChurchMrs. Anna Zingg passed away last Thursday, September 28tli at her rural home northwest of town; The funeral was held Monday afternoon. Services were conducted from the M. E. church with Rev. A. Howe, in charge.Mrs. Anna Braun Zingg was born in Kur 4 Hessen, Germany, June 6th, 1845. She was baptized June 22, 1845 at the Evangelical Reformed church in Bnukirchen, Germany.-She came with her parents to America in 1819 or when she was but four years of age, and has therefore spent her whole conscious life in this country. The family settled in Muscatine County. Iowa, where she lived with her parents until she was married to Gottfried Zingg of Henry County, Iowa, Feb. 186*3.This union was blessed with ten children, seven boys and three girls. Her husband and two daughters have preceded her in death. Seven sons and one daughter survive her. Four of tlie sous, namley John, Andrew, Henry, and Herman were staying with . their mother at the time of. her death. David of Grundy Center, Iowa. Dan of Waterloo. Grover of Leland, and Mrs. Henry Gettman of Swe.i City. Besides her children she leaves to mourn her departure 28 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. J. II. Pippert of Nora Springs, Iowa, and Mi's. E. A. Herwig of 171111011 Junction, besides a host of other relatives and friends.Mr. and Mrs. Gottfried Zingg moved from Hardin County, Iowa, on Nov. 18 1894 to a farm near Buffalo Center where they have resided ever since until her death. Her husband passed from this life on Sept. is 125, 1909.nJ Mrs. Zingg was an industrious wore man. She fell about five years agos- and. took# her hip. In spite of thisif” handicap, she continued to supervise of her household and continued to do tie I quite a good deal of the work up until about, a month ago, when, shewas stricken with dropsy whichcaused her death.Relatives and friends who were here from out-of-town for the funeral were: Dan Zingg and daughter of Waterloo: David Zingg and son of Grundy Center; Mr. and Mrs. Henry “t-(Gettman, Mrs. Katie Schots, Mr. and Mrs. O. Combs and children, Mr. and Mrs. Cart Burger, all of Swea City; Mr. and Mrs. Cbaa. Leibrandt and Mrs Banker of Elmore, Mrs. Ohas. Per-I cig, Blue Earth; Mr, and Mrs. Clias. l01j Pifford and son.
