L'lNhSDAY, OCTOBER 5, 19;REUNIONGRIESELFAMILYFair2nd,twoliar-Crown Point, present, Adam South Chicago,four brothersAmerica many[SPECIAL TO THE TIMES]CROWN POINT, Ind., Oct. 5.—The first annual reunion of the members of the Griesel clan, who are descendants of Henry Griesel who came to America from Germany in 1853 was held at the Lake county grounds on Sunday, October with an attendance of over hundred members from Benton bor, Lowell, Hebron, De Motte, Hammond, Rensselaer, Berwyn, 111., \ hiting, Oak Park, Chicago andThe oldest member Griesel, age 82, of who was one of the w h o i m m i gra ted toyears ago and many of whose descendants were present at Sundays gathering. The otherbrothers and sisters were John Griesel, Henry C. Griesel, Catherine Horst. Elizabeth Horst and Martha Hilbreeht, all deceased, but whose descendants are among those making up the Griesel clan. A most delicious dinner was served at the noon hour, the tables being set in the Art hall. Following the servinga business session was held with the naming of the first set of officers for the coming year. Being the oldest member present and being of the original Griesel family, Adam Griesel of South Chicago was named honorary president. Miss Cora Horst was elected president; John J. Griesel, vice president; Mrs. Florette Lets, secretary; Mrs. Rose Griesel, treasurer. The program committee for next year was Louisa Pratt, Grace McCarthy and Arthur Volk.Short talks were given by Miss Cora Horst.
