«»m4mm§■Mr. Duke'* dies at 81Christ D. “Mr. Duke” Doucleff, 81, of Alton, formerly of Granite City, died unexpectedly at 11:23 p m. Friday, Oct. 2, 1987, at Alton Memorial Hospital.Doucleff owned Duke’s Bakery in Alton for 37 years before his I retirement in 1972. He also ownedpuke's Beverage Co. in Altonfrom 1943-52.Born in Patale, Macedonia, he was a son of the late Dine and Georgia (Mitsareff) Doucleff.On Oct. 5, 1941, in Alton, he married the former Helen Brent. She died Sept. 8, 1972.Surviving are two sons, Karl C. and Michael Doucleff, both of Alton; six grandchildren; three sisters, Gladys Ropac and Millie Sonev, both of Granite City, andSlavka Nizamoff of Indianapolis, Ind.; and a brother, Victor Dou-I cleff of Indianapolis, Ind.| One sister, LaVenka Meyer,preceded him in death.Visitation is scheduled 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Staten Funeral Home in Alton, with a prayerservice at 6 p.m.Services will be conducted at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Monday by the Rev. Peter Stam-boldjiev.Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
