CELEBRATE GOLDENWEDDING ANNIVERSARYMr. and Mrs. Homer Potter celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at their home in Tiffin, Sunday. All of their children were with them on this day.Mrs. Potter, who was formerly Anna Howard, was born May 18. 38G7 and Mr. Potter was horn April 16, 1866. They were married in Iowa City Oct. 1, 1800. They lived on a farm near Blairstown before coming to the Tiffin community, where they have made their home for many yearsMr. Potter 'carried mail between the fcostofflce and depot for ten years, retiring from that work last year.Mr. Potter busies himself with his garden and yard while Mrs. Potter enjoys piecing quilts, and passes many hours along nearby Clear creek with hook and line.Mr. and Mrs. Potter are the parents of nine children, all living. They are jesse of Van Horne, Ernest of Tiffin, Willis of Iowa City, Lee of Conover, Wjisi., Lester of Oxford, Mrs: Lola Demory, Tiffin, Mrs. Glee Peterson of Blairstown, Mrs. Estella Brown of riverside and’ Mrs. Geneva Spring-mire of Oxford. There are 20 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.Those present besides the children and their families were Mr. James Brant of Tiffin, Mrs. Nick Nobish and sons, Dean and Bobby of Iowa City, Mr. and Mrs. John Potter and Jack Seydei of Tiffin.A pot luck dinner was served at noon, the centerpiece being a two tier angel food cake trimmed in gold and decorated with a miniature bride and groom ‘baked by Mrs. Demory. A gift was given to both Mr. and Mrs. Potter by the children.
