CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARYSunday, September 21 being the|forty-seventh anniversary of Mrs. S.B. Jarrett’s birthday and havingbeen announced by her a few weeksbefore that she would be at homethat day to receive her friends, anumber of them went in with well filled baskets and at the noon hour a long table was spread on the lawn and loaded down with good eats.While we were unable to surprise) her in this way, the Primary class of Mound Chapel Sunday School of which she is the teacher, presented I her with a box of very useful pres-1 ents, which she was surprised and happy to receive. |One hundred and thirty-one were present to partake of the bountiful dinner and thirty-six more came for i a few hours visit in the afternoon. Games and music were furnished to entertain the crowd and all depart-1 ed late in the afternoon wishing Aunt Gertie many mqre happy birthdays.
