Murder victim sought protectionHAYSVILLE (AP) — A man shot and killed his wife and then himself the day before a judge had scheduled a hearing on whether a temporary protection order sought by her should be made permanent.Tammara Tami” Hubbs had been seeking a divorce from Ronald Hubbs. A hearing was scheduled Thursday before Sedgwick County Judge Eric Yost on Tami Hubbs’ request for a protection order.Ronald Hubbs went to the house in Haysville south of Wichita where Tami Hubbs had grown up and where the two had lived before he moved out.A neighbor called police after she saw a man chasing a woman down the street Wednesday evening with a gun. Tami Hubbs died of gunshots on the porch of a house down the street from where she lived.Ronald Hubbs was found dead of gunshot wounds in the house they once had shared.
