' CELEBRATE GOLDEN ANNIVERSARYs' Mr. and and Mrs. Henry Fulober, living one mile south of town on the Ash farm, Tuesday celebrated their 1 golden wedding anniversary. Over | two hundred relatives and friends attended the big drnner • that was served at the noon hour. They were the recipients of many useful and beautiful presents. Both Mr. and Mrs. Fulcher were born in Germany, Mr. Fulcher, at Gowsleben, Prussia, *'j and Mrs. Fulcher at Nowsiees in the | same province. They emigrated to this country when children and both their families located near Waverly, Ohio. They were married at Waverly, Ohio, September 28th, 1865. Mr. Fulcher was born in 1840 and his wife, in 1845. Although residing in this country nearly all her life Mrs. Fulcher seldom speaks the American language but converses in her native German dialect.;t!yThey moved to this county from Ohio in 1886 and took up residence on the farm of Dr. Alexander Washington Clough, who had employed Fulcher in Ohio, and who gave him charge of his 1000 acre farm in the White river bottoms three miles west of this city. At the time Mr. Fulcher located on the Clough farm it contained hundreds of acres of woods, and undergrowth, but during his twenty year9 residence there much of the land was cleared, and when he moved off the land about nine years ago it was considered the best f am Tin the White river bottoms. During his occupancy of this farm Mr. Fulcher prospered, and on leaving it he purchased the Ash farm about one mile south of this city which he has greatly improved during the past few years, so that the farm is now one of the best inWashington township.• • • * • ' # •Mr. and Mrs. Fulcher’s marital life has been a happy one. To them thirteen children were born4 ten of whom are living. They have eighteen grand-children and two greatgrandchildren. The dinner was a great success and was heartily enjoyed by both Mr. and Mrs. Fulcher who mingled among their guests almost as freely as though it was their first anniversary.
