Shemiles for e yester-severalThanks-ler whonksgivingM»r. and Mrs. Pete Bopp celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary Wednesday, November 29, 1950,with their children and friends at their farm home south of Patoka and north of Fairman, where they have resided for the past 38 years.Mr. and Mrs. Bopp are both enjoying very good health for newly-v\eds of their age and both are quite active, she being able to do all her own housework, and he able to care for his live stock and other farm chores. Both have an active interest in the Fairman Baptist Church. Mr. Bopp is 76 years young, born .March 9, 1874, and Mrs. Bopp is a mere 75 years, bom August 29, 1875.Mr. and Mrs. Bopp were married in Sandoval, 111., on November 29, 1900 by the Rev. Rozberg. Mrs. Bopp before her marriage was Miss Martha Herring, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Herring. They began housekeeping on a farm near Fairman now known as the Dale Snyder farm, from which they moved within a few years to the farm now known as the Tracy Snyder farm. After a few years they moved to their present location where they have resided and farmed for the past 38 years.To this wedded union five children were born, four of whom are living, namely, Mrs. Gladys Palmer of Odin; Charles Bopp of Colorado Springs, Colo; Mrs. Lila Gerrish of Odin; and Mr?. Lela Flatt of Benton, 111. Their fifth child, Raymond Bopp, succumbed September 17, 1949.Their lives have been enriched further with ten grandchildren and four great grand-child ren. The grandchildren are: Vern Palmer of Salem, Bob Palmer of Odin, Mrs. Daisy Lee Kelleher of Spokane, Washington, Howard and Wanda Poole of Benton, 111., Raymond and Norma Gerrish of Odin, and Jackie, Jefry and Sammy Bopp of Patoka.
