Church Friends Observe EventThe Mission Covenant church ofPrinceton gave a 'beautiful golden wedding event for Mr. and Mrs. John Svedstrom Monday evening November 2G. After the large number of guests had gathered, Carl Ei ickson escorted the honored guests, their children and relatives, into the beautiful decorated lower auditorium of the church, during which the Lohengrin wedding march\v;C played on the piano by Miss IreneEckdahl. A program was then rendered, led by Carl Erickson, who first read a message of scripture and led in prayer.lie also welcomed those present and extended the congratulations of the congregation to the objects of the evening’s celebration. One verse of the song, ‘‘Thanks to God”, was sung by tin* congregation. A double quartette consisting of Mrs. John C. Larson. Mrs. Henry Thu-lean. Misses Camilla and Edith Nelson, Dr. L. K. Larson, Messers Frank Swanson. Austin Hade, and Leonard Olson, sang the songs, “Jag v111 lova Herron,” and “NiD hlott karlek rar” A poem was read by Mrs. P. B. Wel-lander. Short talks were made by Rev. P. R. Wellander, Mrs. Toni Vane, Mr. Axel Larson and Mr. Gust Peterson. A poem composed by Mr. Frank A. Johnson, for the present visiting in Iowa, was read by Mr. David E. I’am p. Mrs. John C. Larsonstiig the song “Nar du aftenen natt“and a ladies’ quartette, consisting of j Mrs. John C. Larson, Mrs. Henry j Thu lean, and Misses Camilla and Edith Nelson, sang the song “He will Guide Thee.” A gift in cash was presented to Mr. and Mrs. John Svedstrom. Mr. Svedstrom responded by expressing heartfelt thanks f ir the honor Hid friendship which hDi been expressed in word and deed and gift.
