(AP) — State and federal authorities have launched an investigation into the crash of a single-engine airplane that killed five persons, including an infant.Barton County authorities identified the dead, all from the Wichita area, as Mark J Faver. 19, the pilot, Donna G Logan, 19, Donna R Cody, 19, Sandra L. Fortine, 20, and Brandi T. Logan, 72 months.The wreckage was discovered by a farmer about 9 a m Thursday The plane was en route from Wichita to Hays, Kan., and was last heard from at 1:30 a.m. by the Russell, Kan., Flight Service.Barton County Sheriff Gene Marks said the pilot radioed that he was encountering low clouds and high winds, and that visibility was poor, but gave no other indication of trouble.
